Melik Martin is an African American who is playing basketball for Monmouth University. He started playing basketball, seriously, in 9th grade but has been training and lifting since middle school.
Melik graduated high school at 17 years old, from York Catholic High School, earning First Team All County. He played AAU during the summer after his senior year and earned a lot of D1 offers, including Monmouth University. He committed three days after his visit.
